ITC GROUP LEADERS TRAINING
Your Ally Foundation
The ITC Group Leaders Training is a 12-hour, 4-day virtual program designed to empower professionals and families
to lead ITC-based support groups in their communities. This program builds upon the foundation established in the
ITC Intensive Training.
Program Details
- Duration: 12-hour ITC training delivered virtually over 4 days.
- Focus: Master the facilitation of ITC-based support groups using evidence-based strategies.
- Curriculum: Includes a flexible, 15-session ITC group curriculum with agendas, readings, worksheets, and group exercises.
Participants practice facilitation techniques through role-playing and interactive discussions. - Resources Provided: Access to CMC’s resource library — including sample group rules, meditations, flyers, and tools for
running support groups. Membership in the ITC Learning Community, a global network of advocates for compassionate support. - Certification: Earn the ITC Group Leader Certification upon full attendance, qualifying you to lead
community support groups.
Impact Since 2021
Since 2021, the Group Leaders Training has certified 131 individuals to lead ITC support groups:
- Uganda: 50 participants completed.
- Zambia: 55 participants completed.
- USA: 18 participants completed.
- Kenya: 8 participants completed.
These certified leaders have established support groups in their communities — creating safe, culturally sensitive spaces where
caregivers share experiences, apply ITC principles, and foster recovery through compassion and empathy.
